I have just returned from spending 11 days in Keewaywin, a northern community where I worked in the Nursing Clinic. The early morning walks were wonderful! In order to avoid the bugs and be able to answer the phones when security went home, I walked from 0615 til 0700. The clearness of the lake, the song of the illusive birds, the occasional squirrel and crow complaining of my passing and the lonely dog that accompanied me, all spoke to me of the beauty of this world God has made.
I had a wonderful trip to the Maritimes in May – meeting and working with Shirley Pearce. Together we will travel to India in August to lead 8 workshops in the six weeks we will be there.
I am looking forward to leaving on Thursday of this week for Nova Scotia once more – this time for vacation with family.
One of the wonderful things about summer is the opportunity to ‘pause and refresh’. It will be wonderful to be on the Atlantic Ocean with my grandchildren to have time to play and explore together.
My prayer is that your summer will provide times of rest and fun with family and friends.
